Mortimer Mouse is an uncle of Minnie Mouse and a cattle ranch owner. He was introduced in the Mickey Mouse comic strip story “Death Valley” (1930) and remained a prominent supporting character in the early 1930s. He did not appear in an original comic book story until 1971.
