Val Adair was a former S.H.E.I.L.D. agent that was hired to force Stark Industries to become a weapons maker again .Deciding to kill Tony  Stark instead he hired Spymaster and took over S.H.E.I.L.D. Helicarrier .He was defeated by Iron Man .He has also fought with Moon Knight but when in prision he was stabbed in the neck and seemingly died.
