Valera Szothstromael was the daughter of the deamon Szothstromael. She was born looking completely human, but by her fifth birthday she was a full adult. After her birth Szothstromael himself was banished to another dimension by Tiger King. Valera however knew that he had four other half-siblings. From an early age she and her siblings were mentally aware of each other. As adults they sought each other out, and they worked to get their father out of the other dimension.

One of the siblings was killed by Valera’s brother Roger. After this the other siblings went on a killing spree.  Valera tried to stay low as her human side was stronger than the others and after her brother Raphael was killed she knew she needed to keep her distant from Roger. The murders her siblings were undertaking attracted the attention of the Ghost, and Tiger King. The two of them dispatched the siblings with a magical blade. Valera herself turned on Roger and help strike him down. Once her siblings were gone Valera tried to live a normal life.
