When he comes to visit his cousin, and Dick Grayson, he would try his hand on trying to impress them, by pretending that he was Robin, and hired an actor to play Batman. This scheme of course didn’t work, and would backfire with the actor turning out to be a con artist criminal, however the day was saved by Batman, Robin and fake Robin. Van after this would disappear from comics completely, and Bruce’s family after reboots would be altered in ways, where Van’s existence would be impossible.

He would even in an episode wore a Robin costume hoping to be the next Robin, which was taken from his only comic appearance. Van Wayne was played by Alan Tudyk.
