In the very beginning of Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones Issue #1; Versé dies, among others, from an explosive assassination attempt on Senator Padmé Amidala. Zam Wesell was the assassin however Cordé was posing as the senator at the time, meaning she died instead of the Padmé.
