The first appearance of the archeologists Vijay and Rani is in Mohenjo-Daro, an ancient Indus settlement within Pakistan. They are parents of Kiran, the Teen Titan named Solstice. Along with Helena Sandsmark they were researching some ruins in Pakistan and after recent discoveries, during the night, Vijay and Rani duddenly go missing, prompting Kiran to begin searching for them.
