Violet Shadow first appeared in Femforce 176, in the She-Cat story ‘Beware the Violet Shadow’, which saw the volatile ninja hacker face off against She-Cat while trying to take down a slum crime lord. In Femforce 179 her first solo story was published, ‘New Blood For an Old Town’ in which the new crime syndicate leader (Ms Temple) and her lethal assassin bodyguard (Lady Jade) are introduced. Violet’s story continues with the ‘Suit of Ages’ arc, appearing in Femforce 182 and Violet Shadow issue 0 from AC Comics.
When out of costume, Violet is known as Victoria Liu. She is half Chinese and half Swedish, a martial arts master, a computer expert and part of a fictionalized punk/Industrial scene. She has a short fuse and struggles to keep her anger in check.
