What is known of Volvkov’s background is that he spent time in prison as a criminal before becoming a member of the Red Fleet. It is rumored in that period, he ripped a guards face off with his bare hands. Arrogant, brutal and uncompromising, Volkov harbored great resentment against officers such as Urik Antares whom he assumed attended the Academy only out of their families’ longstanding military service.
Volkov led the R.R.S. Taktarov in the assualt on the rebelling R.R.S. Konstantinov, following them into the storm of souls. After the Taktarov lost the battle, Volkov surrendered his soul to Troika in order to gain vengence on Urik Antares and his crew.
