Origin
Ava’Dara was born in a breedmart warehouse in Chandilar’s Flesh Bazaar District. Her father was an “automated seed sprinkler” and her mother was one of the many people that worked in the Imperium‘s factories. Her mother’s eggs were harvested each month as a part of the Imperium’s government-mandated body taxes. She was then grown in the womb of a slave that the Imperium had taken prison from some world they conquered. The slave’s body wasn’t strong enough to birth a Shi’ar child so the slave died in childbirth.
She received her name from a munitions company that bought her life rights. She grew up in high shanties of the Sky Slums of Chandilar. While working at the company that bought her, she became very familiar with Shi’ar pulsar guns. She dreamed of always being an Imperial soldier. Years later, she scored high enough on the “kill-exams” to be admitted into the Imperial Soldier Academy. Once in the academy, she received injections to make her the perfect soldier and trained her on how to use weapons. She embraced the true way of the Shi’ar warriors.

Mayor Story Arcs
Warbird of the Shi’ar Empire
While on a mission to bring down a terrorist cell in the Sky Slums years later, she killed all the terrorists and came across a child. Her mission was to kill everyone in the cell, but she took the child to a garden and told him to run. The same day she told her magistrates of what she did, but not where the boy was. They nearly killed her but decided to put her through stricter training and gave her a new assignment, to be the bodyguard of Kid Gladiator.
Wolverine and the X-men
Warbird is sent by Gladiator to go as Kid Gladiator‘s bodyguard to protect him from danger after the latter apparently destroyed “half a city”. During the attack on the Jean Grey School of Higher Learning by Krakoa, Warbird shows romantic interest with one of the ice-clones used by Iceman to dispose of the enemies or rather, romantic interest in Bobby himself. Later, when Iceman and Kitty Pryde are seen kissing each other, she is seen in some angst.
She is also seen with Logan when the school comes under attack by Exodus, fighting alongside the mutants. Later, when Gambit and Cecilia Reyes are together, Warbird comes after Wolverine with the heads of two unknown people, apparently informing them that they are being hunted.
Warbird stays on Wolverine’s side during Avengers vs X-Men. She fights the X-Men under Cyclops’ command. When the Phoenix is broken into five shards and inhabits Cyclops, Emma Frost, Colossus, Namor, and Magik, and when those Phoenix Five X-Men attack the school, she fights back. Her Shi’ar weapons prove effective in harming the Phoenix hosts but not enough to down them. She tells Iceman if they survive this war, she will bed him after kissing his disembodied head when he fought on the X-Men’s side. Warbird watches with Kid Gladiator as Gladiator gets beaten down by the Phoenix Five in a valiant effort. Warbird returns with Gladiator to the institute where he receives medical attention. Gladiator tells Kid Gladiator to return to the ship where they will leave Earth, and as Warbird prepares to come with, Gladiator tells her she is meant to stay as she is destined for far greater things.
At the school, she has been teaching some classes to the students. She was recently brainwashed into joining a circus along with all the other teachers, but the control was eventually broken with the circus’ defeat.
