Toy History
Warpath’s first figure was released in 1985 as part of the second series of ‘minibots’. It was also offered as a mail-away figure in 1986, while in Japan he was only offered as a mail-away. There is a variant of the figure: most releases of his figure have black-painted eyes, while others had unpainted eyes and a painted mouth. In 2004 he was reissued in a multi-pack in Japan alongside Bumblebee, Gears, Huffer, Powerglide, and Cosmos; the molds would later be repainted that same year as the E-Hobby exclusive version of the GoBots (Warpath was remolded in dark green as the character Treds). Warpath would later get a figure in the toyline based on the 2007 live-action Transformers film, as part of 2008’s “Allspark Battles” assortment. Here, he was a repaint of the scout class figure Overhaul (an off-road vehicle instead of a tank) from the Transformers: Cybertron series. His next figure, also released in 2008, was part of the Transformers: Universe Legends figures subset, where his tank mode got upgraded to a futuristic “H-Tank” style. His robot mode remained similar to the original figure, and is the only Legends minibot to have moving elbows. The figure would later be repainted for two series in 2009: for the Henkei! Henkei! series of Classics in Japan, he was given cartoon-accurate colors and released in the Minibot Spy Team Pack along with Cosmos and Wheelie, while in America it was repainted for a Target exclusive Legends figure multi-pack that tied in to the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen movie, as the Decepticon Sparkcrusher (a homage to the G1 Action Master Gutcruncher). His next figure would be released in the Generations line of 2011, where he was given a more poseable deluxe figure. It would later be repainted as part of Japan’s United line, with more metallic paint applications.

Personality
Warpath is boisterous, loud-mouthed and has a great sense of humor. Almost never in a bad mood, and the only thing that is known to upset him: any small nick or scratch to his tank cannon. He’s very proud and vain about his tank cannon. If his gun has even a small scratch, Warpath might be too depressed to speak for over a month until it’s repaired. Though he can still be aggressive on other occasions aswell, but not even close to what he’s like when his gun is damaged.
Powers and Abilities
Warpath is incredibly strong and durable. He’s so strong he once punched a really big hole in Dead End with one punch. His armor can withstand all but the most powerful of attacks. His tank cannon is both violently powerful and very accurate. He can hit a hex-nut at a distance of 1.5 miles with a shell from his gun. He has a variety of shells available to him: explosive, thermal, cryogenic, acid, and sonic, among others. He can use his tank cannon both in robot mode and tank mode. In tank mode, he can reach up to a speed of 30mph.

Movie Universe (2008)
He appears in the comics and video-game that tie in to the Transformers film series, where he alternates between his toy form and a different form entirely for the video game based on Transformers: Dark of the Moon (where he is voiced by Dave Fennoy).
Shattered Glass (2008-09)
An evil version of Warpath appears in the Transformers Collector’s Club’s “Shattered Glass” story arc. Here, he is blue with red eyes, and his design combines his Legends figure with bits of the GoBots character Tank.

Transformers – Warpath appears in the original Sunbow series during the second and third seasons voiced by Alan Oppenheimer. Alan also voiced Beachcomber.
Transformers: Animated – Another version of Warpath appears in the thrid season of this show voiced by David Kaye who appears similat to the G1 version of Warpath
Video Games
Transformers: War for Cybertron (2010)– Warpath appears as a playable character in the video game voiced by Jamieson Price. Warpath’s alternate form is a Cybertronian Tank. His first mission is with Optimus Prime and Ironhide as the descend into the core of Cybertron to assess the poisoning of the planet by Dark Energon. Warpath is also available for the Soldier class in the Multiplayer mode, with his chassis being called “Defender”. He’s also available in the Escalation mode.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011) – Warpath appears in Dark of the Moon the game, and he appears in the sixth chapter of the game, trying to destroy Megatron and stop his plans. Warpath failed though, and Megatron killed him. Warpath is also a playable character in the Multiplayer mode for the Warrior class.
Transformers: Fall of Cybertron (2012) – Warpath appears as one of the Autobots tasked with protecting the Ark. He is still a Cybertronian Tank. Warpath leads a task group alongside Optimus Prime and eventually Metroplex in order to take out the Decepticon Warp Cannons. Warpath was very angry over Grimlock leaving his post. Warpath is ordered back to the Ark before Optimus is eventually captured by Starscream and the Combaticons. He is one of the many Autobots available for play in the Multiplayer modes, and he is available for the Titan class, with his parts being called “Obliderator” and his armor set just having his normal name Warpath, and he’s also available for the Escalation mode. Warpath is voiced by Jamieson Price again.
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark (2014) – Warpath is a playable character in the Escalation mode.
