Warren Worthington Jr.

Origin

Warren Kenneth Worthington Jr. is the father of the X-Man Angel. He was a very wealthy businessman and had various large corporations to his name.

Creation

Warren Kenneth Worthington Jr. was created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and first appeared in (Uncanny) X-Men Vol.1 issue 14 (1965).

Major Story Arcs

A Mutant Son

When he found out that his son Warren Worthington III was a mutant, he enrolled him at Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. While his son had been attending the school, Warren Jr. and his wife Kathryn Worthington decided to make a brief visit to Xavier’s Institute; however they accidentally encountered Magneto, whom had broken into the school and was lying in wait for the X-Men. Luckily, the X-Men were able to save him and his wife. After the battle, for their safety, Professor X decided it was best to erase all of their memories of the encounter. Unfortunately, Warren Worthington Jr. died not soon after while Warren was still in his teenage years by his own brother Burtram Worthington.

Powers and Abilities

Warren is not a mutant like his son and possesses no powers, but he is undeniably well-educated and wealthy.

X-Men The Last Stand (2006)

In the third X-Men movie, Warren Jr. appears when he discovered that his son Warren III was a mutant when he bumped the door seeing his son stripping his feathers.

Wolverine and The X-Men Cartoon

He supports the Mutant registration Act and he know his son’s mutation. The information that he knows about Senator Kelly were forcibly absorbed by Rogue under the persuasion of the Brotherhood.
