Watford is a police inspector from London, whose real name is never revealed in the Hellblazer series. Watford is actually his nickname which was coined on him in reference of an embarrassing incident that occurred on London’s Watford High Street. Albeit this incident is never fully explained, John Constantine knows things enough of it to “ask” favors to Watford whenever he needs to.
