HISTORY
Out of fear for his life, Lucky Leonardo is prepared to speak to the D.A. This sets Ruth Ransom and Paul Patton into investigative mode. Paul arrives on the rooftop across from Lucky’s apartment in the guise of The Fox. Ruth selects the apartment in the same building with a deaf woman who can read lips. Using binoculars, the woman tells Ruth the conversation between the D.A. and the gangster.
Watts Watson and another gunsel show up to the same apartment Ruth is in to kill Lucky. Watts uses his tommy gun on the D.A. and the stool pigeon, slaying them both. The men then intend to turn the weapon on Ruth and the woman. The Fox uses a rope and hook to swing into the apartment and save the women.
