Lord Weterlackus has provided Ham his power for centuries. In return, Ham offers up blood sacrifices to Lord Weterlackus. In the 5th century, it was human sacrifices, but lately it has been animal sacrifices. Because of Daisy and Badger’s reluctance to let Ham offer sacrifices, Ham has been unable to provide the necessary payment to his patron demon lord. In turn, Lord Weterlackus sent a demon to kill Ham, which Badger dispatched.
Lord Weterlackus took the Hodag as his familiar to defeat Ham and Badger. He narrowly escaped the battle that ensued by using his own blood as a power source for his magic to escape.
