Whip Wilson

Whip Wilson (1911-1964) was the star in a series of B-Movie westerns. A total of 22 films starring Whip were released between 1948 and 1952. The series generated its share of publicity and a spin-off comic book version, but once it ended the actor vanished into obscurity.

“Whip” was named, by the Studio, after his signature move of wielding a bull whip in action scenes. He was often partnered with either trick rider, and “blonde bombshell” Reno Browne (1921-1991) or brunette beauty Phyllis Coates. Coates is also remembered for playing Lois Lane on television.
