Whitewater Duck is a distant cousin of Donald Duck who first appeared in the comic story “Log Jockey” by Carl Barks. Nevertheless, Don Rosa decided to show him as first cousin of Donald, son of his Uncle Eider Duck, briefly mentioned in “Farragut the Falcon” by Barks as well, and a new character called Lulubelle Loon in his “Duck Family Tree”, being Fethry Duck his only full sibling. Rosa also created another first name to him, Abner, turning his original one, Whitewater, into a nickname.
Whitewater has appeared in Danish stories written by Lars Jensen, including Donald introduces him to Daisy as his distant cousin in “Too Many Donalds”, first published in July, 2013.
