Whitey Logan is notable for being the first criminal that Judge Dredd arrests, back in 2000ad prog 2 (his first appearance).
Whitey is a Judge Killer who taunted the Judges of Mega-City One with notes signed ‘Judge Whitey’. Dredd apprehends him and sentences him to life on Devil’s Island.
Whitey makes his final appearance in the tenth anniversary edition of 2000ad (prog 520), in a story suitably titled ‘Ten Years On’. He’s escaped from Devil’s Island and wants revenge on Dredd. Holed up at a Munce Plant, Whitey has hostages and threatens to kill them unless Dredd shows up. Turning up unarmed, Dredd is left suspended from a crane over the munce conveyor belt, but tearing off his Judges badge, he hurls this at Whitey, where it impales itself in his forehead and he topples forward to his death in the machinery below.
