Origin
Will Arcene was recruited by General Hume into his band of cold-blooded killers, and invited to his inner circle. Hume offered Arcene one of the Six, he was given The Second, thus granting him the ability to fire the Flames of Perdition. He then served as one of the members of General Hume’s Four Horsemen.
Creation
Will Arcene was created by Cullen Bunn and Brian Hurtt for their series, The Sixth Gun. He serves as one of the villains during the first story arc.
Major Story Arcs
Cold Dead Fingers
Arcene, along with Silas Hedgepeth, Bloodthirsty Bill, and Ben, were tasked with finding the secret resting place of General Hume by his widow, Missy. The band of killers located Hume, and once the General was free he was able to establish a link with his weapon, the Sixth Gun. Later, while scouting ahead of Hume and his men, Arcene found Becky, the current welder of the Sixth. Before he could subdue the woman, a thunderbird pounced on the skeletal man, killing him. His revolver was retrieved by Drake Sinclair.
Sons of the Gun
Will Arcene left the Four Horsemen once General Hume had been killed during the Civil War, returning home to his mother. When Will arrived he was attacked by what his mother called his siblings; however, the monsters were completely non-human and Will struck back with a vicious temper and a sharp ax, killing his attackers. Will then killed his mother and was met by a strange masked man who told him that everything his mother had told him about his father and his past was a lie, this news caused Will to search for his “true” brothers, the other Horsemen.
When Will met up with the Horsemen again they were attacked by a group of demons, using their combined might they were able to defeat the forces from Hell & came across Missy Hume. Missy had been searching for the Horsemen and had plans that involved them, as they needed to help her revive General Hume.
Skills and Abilities
Will Arcene was given basic training for the Civil War and has average marksmanship abilities. He is also able to ride horses with an average skill level.
He also showed skill with an ax and used it to butcher monsters and demons that were twice his size.
Equipment
Will Arcene was once the bearer of one of the Six, wielding a gun known as The Second.
- The Second – This weapon, one of the Six, allowed the user to fire the Flames of Perdition which burn brighter, hotter and longer than normal flames.
When Will was killed by a Thunderbird his weapon was taken by Drake Sinclair.
Alternate Versions
An alternate version of Will Arcene was seen during Becky Montcrief’s spirit walk. He was less skeletal and seemingly more human than the original version of Will.
