While he thought of himself as a simple Cherokee-Cowboy to the rest of America Will Rogers was known as a vaudevillian (doing rope tricks while telling jokes and talking about the news and events of the day), comic, social commentator, radio and movie star, world traveler and philanthropist.
His image was also used in a number of comic books.
