Bean’s tales included very creative uses of Aquaman’s regular abilities. When Aquaman actually arrived in the city for unrelated reasons, Bean was embarassed to admit they had never met. Aquaman was then alerted to a ship threatened by a typhoon on the open sea.
Arthur was trying to figure a way to rescue the ship in time when Bean’s creative imagination came up with a working plan. Curry followed it and managed to perform the rescue in time. Witnessing Bean being thanked by Aquaman was all the proof the kids needed that their hero was not a windbag.
