Origin
The vigilante known as X-Boy was a mystery man who sought to bring back to modern Great Britain the concept of the Yeoman Archer, who in the past had acted at times as a sort of municipal police force for their district or parish, X-Bow however ranged over the whole of Great Britain (and even for a time for a tour of America), riding a high-powered modified motorcycle and carrying a powerful crossbow of his own design which fired not only conventional bolts but also specialized one containing homing devices, bugging microphones, stun and gas capsules, flairs, as well as ones that could act as grappling hooks, with a mechanism attached to the bow to be used to let X-Bow then pull himself up walls, and double bolts that could release nets.
Eventually X-Bow also obtained a shield made from an unknown alloy that was impervious to bullets.
