Xan

Origin

Xan and his brother Ping were found clinging to the frozen corpses of their parents by Tibetan monks, who took them in and cared for them. The monks had a prophecy: “And there shall come three outsiders in from the wilderness, each torn between the forces of good and evil, between Heaven and Earth, and one shall be chosen who will stand against the coming darkness”. Training them to possibly be the next Demonslayer, the monks waited 20 years for the third stranger, which was Jaclyn Hayes. Through trial by combat, Ping, Xan and Jaclyn fought each other, with Ping victorius. Ping was then led to an arena by the monks. When they returned, the monks told Xan Ping had died. As second in line, Jaclyn was led into the arena. She fought against the yeti and won, thereby becoming the next Demonslayer. Her reward was her freedom, leaving Xan with the monks.

Vengeance

Somehow, Xan had escaped the monestary and made a deal with Asmodeus. He was sent to New York City, along with an unnamed demoness. Tracking her down, he attacked Jaclyn, but was himself attacked by the demon Michael Taylor. Kept busy by him, Xan saw the demoness nearly defeating Jaclyn. Needing the vengeance on Jaclyn for himself, he helped Michael and Jaclyn vanquish the demoness. During the demoness’ demise, Xan escaped the scene unnoticed. Back in his apartment, Xan was killed by Asmodeus for his failure.
