Yara was a refugee from a war torn world who found employment with the E.I.S.F. She first encountered Capitan Peligro after he was stabbed through the eye by Hammerhead during a battle between the Space Riders and the Norrax Armada. She performed a psychological evaluation on Peligro that lead to him being relieved of duty for one year.
A year after her first encounter with Peligro, Yara was assigned to reinstate him as a member of the Space Riders. Yara served with Peligro aboard the Santa Muerte and accompanied him on his quest for the secret treasure of the Space Gods.
