Yul won an Academy Award for Best Actor for his part in the musical The King and I. However, he will probably best be remembered as Rameses II in the epic story about Moses and the Exodus, Cecille B. DeMille’s classic, The Ten Commandments. He was also quite popular in the Magnificent Seven films. Yul died on October 10, 1985 at age 65.
