At the start, X-23 was working as one of Zebra Daddy’s prostitutes, when one of her clients committed suicide in her hotel room. Kiden Nixon got a telepathic message telling her to go there with her friend, Cameron. The two ladies found a dead man on the floor and X-23, claws out, slitting her wrists.
Zebra Daddy wanted to find X-23 desperately and wanted to kill her because now he was losing money and business. When they got in a massive battle, X-23 stabbed Daddy through the chest just before he could shoot Kiden, killing him instantly.
