Zippo

Joe Blair was a private detective whose superhero alter ego was named

Zippo.  Zippo was a very different sort of hero during the Golden Age as he didn’t have super powers with which to fight crime.    
 
Instead, he had an armored suit with motorized pistons which operated wheeled boots that enabled him to travel as fast as a speeding automobile, usually around 65 MPH.   The wheels also included razor sharp treads which enabled him to cut through metal.  
 
The character is also considered Public Domain as the original publisher went out of business and the copyrights were never renewed prior to 1977.
