When Oliver Queen held a party on his father’s oil rig that he was supposed to be watching over, Iron Eagle and his men hijacked helicopters that were meant to bring more of Ollie’s friends. They lined the rig and many of the party guests with explosives, a threat while they siphoned away the oil, a scheme they had been working for some time. As his men were conducting the work, Iron Eagle held the detonator when Ollie shot his wrist with an arrow. The detonator dropped off the side and activated by hitting the rig, causing it to blow. Ollie feels responsible for the resulting deaths and became Green Arrow to make it right.
