Villain from Fear Itself: Uncanny X-Force.
John Standish was a neurosurgeon who killed a young hero in front of thousands of people on a live internet broadcast, telling them all to commit suicide in order to save themselves from the Hell on Earth brought on by Fear Itself. He believed that “superpeople” – not just mutants – were responsible for everything that was happening in the world, and that all of them were the Devil’s minions.
Trying to fullfill his destiny, Standish created a bomb that would kill hundreds of people, believing that it would send them to heaven. His plans were stopped by the X-Force team; first he was confronted by Archangel, then Deadpool chopped his right hand off, and finally Wolverine killed him by cutting off his head.
