Max Steel is a character from an action figure franchise started by Mattel in 1999.

According to Mattel, Max Steel is the son of Big Jim, a character in a series of action figures from the company in the 70s and 80s, in Max Steel, Big Jim’s real name is Jim McGrath.

Josh McGrath

Josh McGrath is a 19-year-old extreme sports super star. He knows how to ride anything with wheels, from Motorcycles and Dirtbikes to Skateboards and Skates. When he was at the age of 8 his parents were killed in a boat accident, Josh was adopted by his father’s best friend/business partner Jefferson Smith. Jeff Smith is the owner of a extreme sports equipment company, however it is actually a secret agent group called N-Tek. N-Tek stops the bad guys before anyone knows, they take out whoever they need to.

Birth Of Max Steel

While Josh was visiting his adopted fathers company, they were attacked by the evil secret agent named Psycho. Josh faced Psycho in battle, but was badly hurt by the villain. He was then exposed to tiny nanomachines called “Nano Tech Max.” These nanites got into Josh’s body, however began to die because it did not have enough energy. So Josh began to die also. As a last resort Jeff Smith gave Josh a high dose of T-juice. This not only saves Josh’s life, but it also gives him super powers. As a result, Josh takes on the identity of Max Steel. A super-hero agent that fights not only man, but monsters.

Powers and Abilities

Max Steel has multiple turbo modes which he can shift into to gain specific power-ups of a particular ability. This can be achieved by the phrase “Go Turbo” with only minor changes in suit appearance though the color scheme is still mostly the same white and blue.

Turbo Base Mode

The base mode is the standard mode which Max Steel appears as. It provides him with enhanced strength, enhanced speed and enhanced durability.

Turbo Strength Mode

In strength mode, Max Steel appears with greater size and muscular arms. He has enough strength to effortlessly lift up to 200 tons.

Turbo Flight Mode

In flight mode, turbo wings are added in conjunction to Max Steel’s base mode. He can fly up to Mach velocities and enter the vacuum of space.

Turbo Scuba Mode

In turbo mode, fins and flippers are added in conjunction to Max Steel’s base mode. It enables him to swim faster and be more agile when underwater.

Turbo Super Mode

The super mode provides nothing more than a different appearance for Max Steel.

Turbo Speed Mode

In speed mode, Max Steel can casually cruise at speeds of sound. He is capable of achieving speeds of up to 100,000 mph.

Turbo Stealth Mode

In stealth mode, Max Steel has his suit turned into a darker color tone. He may also turn invisible.

Turbo Cannon Mode

In cannon mode, Max Steel appears with an overall greater size in a bulkier appearance. He is provided with much greater strength, though not as much as his strength mode and invulnerability that allows him to take tremendous punishment as well as use for inflicting extreme damage by launching himself at targets.

Turbo Clone Mode

In clone mode, Max Steel can duplicate himself to having a few to millions of clones of himself. These clones work as one unit and can also shift into different turbo modes of their own.

Turbo Heat Mode

In heat mode, Max Steel converts turbo energy into heat to scorch his enemies. It is equipped with heat blasters, flamethrowers and fireballs. Temperatures can reach thousands of degrees.
