Dirk Davis was touted as an up and comer by the Metropolis, Daily Planet. One week later Davis was solidly invested in Goldstar Inc (Booster Gold‘s company). He also represented Booster as an agent. Eventually Dirk and Booster Gold became friends. This ended with Davis betraying Booster twice. The first time was because his daughter was kidnapped and used as blackmail by the 1000. Davis however comes to his senses and helps Booster fight shockwave who was working for the 1000. Booster forgives him but is betrayed a second time when Booster finds out Dirk is a Manhunter. Dirk had completely bankrupt Booster and his company without him ever finding out.
