Rise and Shine
A cyber-surgeon working on Mako’s Project: Ultra-Tech for the U.S. Army, Gina Dyson soon realized that Mako was not interested in serving their country. She discovered that he planned on selling the weapons they made to international corporations and terrorists, and alerted Eric Savin, the military supervisor to the threat. Gina and Savin became lovers, but Mako had him killed a short time after. Heartbroken, Gina suggested they use Savin as a test subject, and, following Mako’s specifications, turned Eric into the deadly cyborg Coldblood-7.
While monitoring the Coldblood tests, Gina covertly sent out a radio signal to Coldblood. Once he arrived at her instructed destination, Gina told him that she had brought him back from the dead, and supplied him with a download of information on his past life. She then deactivated the safeties on his programming, allowing him to flee Mako’s testing site.
Mako soon learned of Gina’s role in Coldblood’s escape, and imprisoned her. He subsequently used her as bait to capture Coldblood. Gina was able to free herself from Mako’s cells with the help of a fellow employee named Charles, and fled the facility. She was reunited with Coldblood, and the two set out to take down Mako once and for all.
Gina and Coldblood first attacked Mako’s power grid, deactivating his android minions. Then, while Coldblood engaged the enemy security forces, Gina remotely activated many of Mako’s traps, using them to her advantage by incapacitating many of the enemy security guards.
Gina used an assault rifle to help Coldblood fight Mako’s assault vehicle. When Mako incapacitated Coldblood, she distracted Mako with a well-timed shot, allowing Charles and Coldblood to kill Mako once and for all. Gina and Coldblood then drove off together, free to live their lives.
