Anaiya

Origin

Little is known about Anaiya’s early life. She travelled to Tar Valon to be trained at the White Tower as a young woman. Eventually she was raised full Aes Sedai, and chose the Blue. 

Creation

Anaiya was created by Robert Jordan for his book series The Wheel of Time, making her first appearance in the second book in the series, The Great Hunt. She made her first appearance in comics in Wheel of Time: New Spring #4, written by Jordan and Chuck Dixon and illustrated by Mike Miller

New Spring

Anaiya represents the Blue Ajah at Moiraine Damodred’s test for the shawl. She is the first to welcome both Moiraine and Siuan Sanche into the Ajah.  

Powers and Abilities

Anaiya is a channeler of notable strength. She has a particular talent for Healing.  As a channeler, her lifespan is greatly expanded compared to regular humans. However, as an Aes Sedai and thus bound by the Three Oaths, her potential lifespan is shortened. She is also noted to be fairly intelligent.
