Aquarus

Origins

Aquarus is the defender of a small undersea village, a job he takes seriously. He is a master swordsman and has the ability to call upon sea creatures to aid in his fight for truth and justice.

Creation

Aquarus first appeared in Val Staples , Masters of the Universe, Icons of Evil: Mer-Man.

When Mer-Man learns that there is a village in the outer banks that does not know of him being king nor that will swear allegiance, he takes a small army to beat them into submission. This is where Aquarus meets the undersea king for the first time. The two do battle and Aquarus is proven to be the better fighter and to have the loyality of the sea creatures, but Mer-Man summons a large fish beast to blindside Aquarus.

Assuming Aquarus dead, Mer-Man leaves the village in ruin and returns to his caste, but it is soon revealed Aquarus is not dead, and he has a plan for revenge. He summons all the sea creatures he can and attacks Mer-Man’s castle. There the pair do combat while the armies clash around them. Aquarus has the upper hand once again but this time he is distracted when a mother and child are in danger and Mer-Man takes advantage and blindsides Aquarus once again. This time the large fish beast eats Aquarus, seemingly killing the defender once and for all.
