Bernie Rosenthal

Brief History

Bernie met Steve Rogers, also known as Captain America, and the two started dating. She eventually discovered his secret identity. After the two continued dating for quite some time, Bernie eventually moved away to pursue a degree in law.
 
She moved back later, and had trouble with an old friend who had joined the Watchdogs. Steve had already been dating Rachel Leighton who was also the costume heroine Diamondback, yet Bernie attempted to renew their love, finally deciding to stay friends instead.

She is apparently also a well-qualified attorney as she defends Bucky during the Winter Soldier Trials.

Creation

Bernie Rosenthal was created by Roger Stern and John Byrne in 1980 and first appeared in Captain America # 247.
