The Black Rat was a nameless wandering orphan who one day made himself a costume to wear in order to commit crimes. He is a superstrong and durable villain who used his trained rats to make himself feared by many criminals. After many defeats from Bulletman and Bulletgirl, Black Rat teamed up with The Weeper and Murder Prophet to form the Revenge Syndicate. He was later apparently thrown into a vat of molten steel during a fight with Bulletman, and was believed for a time to be dead. The Black Rat later resurfaced to join up again with the Revenge Syndicate, but was finally killed in a fire that broke out in their headquarters, with all three villains perishing in the process.
