Charger

HISTORY

The Witch tells a tale about a Black Stallion of Death while her cat Lucifer looks on.

James Elliot is seen brutally whipping The Black Stallion, a horse he owns. The man observing the abuse purchases the horse. He renames in Charger and begins to win a string of horse races with it.

James Elliot reads of the successes with the horse and feels wronged. He burns the house of Charger’s owner. The owner cannot escape the flaming structure, yet sees Elliot fleeing from the scene. The owner curses the arsonist with his dying breaths. Charger bursts out of the burning stables.

The next day, Charger wanders onto Elliot’s property. Elliot does not recognize the horse, but is impressed with his speed.

That evening, his butler informs James that the forest is ablaze. Elliot decides the black stallion is the only chance to ride fast enough from the conflagration. He takes Charger to flee, but the horse goes right into the flaming forest. James Elliot is burned to death as the ghost of The Black Stallion waits nearby.
