Colonel Stamford

Colonel Stamford

He lives alone in a strange “villa” designed for the Côte d’Azur. Fifty years earlier, he fell in love with a cabaret singer: Desdemona. This love caused a scandal. He then joined the British army in India. After fifteen years in uniform, at the head of the 12th regiment, he settled down and lived for twenty years alone in this house which he had built by his men, in the middle of nowhere. He inherited a fabulous collection of canvases from the great impressionist painters.
