Conrad Bloch

Prior to WWII, he was once a partner with Carl Ferris in the Ferris-Bloch Air Inc. Conrad was the flyer while Carl Ferris ran the business. As the years went by, Conrad fell behind in payments and was given one week to come up with his share of the money. Conrad couldn’t so Carl Ferris took sole control of Ferris Aircraft Inc. The loss of Ferris-Bloch Air Inc. caused a downward spiral in Conrad’s life. He took it out on his wife Edith causing her to leave him three years later. Conrad began to drink heavily until it nearly costed him his life. After beating the drinking habit, Conrad took restock on his life and invested what money he had into a small time air cargo company. The company grew and ultimately became Bloch Air Inc. The company invested heavily into a solar jet, but Ferris Air had created a solar jet too. The government awarded a contract to Ferris Air and Bloch Air went bankrupt. Conrad in a dire attempt to save his company tried to sabotage Ferris Air’s solar jet program. In an attempt to destroy the prototype jet Conrad was caught in the blast which disfigured him for life. Conrad was married to Edith Bloch and they had two sons Congressman Jason Bloch and Benjamin Bloch who works for Bloch Air.
