Creation

Decibell was created by writer Brian Smith and illustrator Jason Howard for the Chik-Fil-A promotional comic series the Amazing Cow Heroes.

She made her first appearance in Amazing Cow Heroes #1 – Beef Battle Royale.

Origin

Not much is known about Decibell’s origin; however, she serves the town of Burgerburgh and works closely with the town’s police force.

Beef Battle Royale

Decibell uncovers a secret lair belonging to Sir Brisket underneath the Burgerburgh City Hardborg, inside a group of Burger Bots operate the Beefinator, a machine designed to create an intense craving for beef. Sir Brisket plans on running the city’s water supply through the Beefinator to generate a massive vapor cloud to blanket the city, causing everyone to become hypnotized into wanting beef; however, Decibell arrives and uses a super-sonic ‘Moo’ to destroy the machine, blasting it through the roof of the lair, causing it to explode above the city.

Sir Brisket, angered by her interference, looks for a new way to get the town to buy his burgers, Merloin, a man with a hypnotic lasso who volunteers to hypnotize each citizen in the town to aid him and his restaurant franchise, the Royal Beef Buffet.

Monitoring the town from her mobile operating outpost, Decibell notices a disturbance and heads to the nearest Royal Beef Buffet, inside she finds the police chief (and many others) have been hypnotized into liking beef. She frees the chief from his trance and stops the man responsible. Unfortunately by that point the entire town had become hypnotized.

In order to save the town, Decibell utilizes her Mooglatron Amplifier and sends a sonic moo from a satillite in space to target the entire town. The town is then saved, but Sir Brisket is still free, thankfully Decibell is able to break into his hideout and defeat Sir Brisket and Merloin, who tries to use his lasso on the powered cow, but instead gets Sir Brisket, who is then jailed, but not before getting a chicken sandwich at the nearest Chik-Fil-A.

Powers & Abilities

Decibell has the ability to produce a super-sonic Moo that is capable of breaking down walls and can use it to free people from hypnotism. She is also a computer expert and has a black belt in karate.
