Dementipede

Origin

Very little is known about how a small-time human crook named Samuel Pitera became the monstrous Dementipede. It can be assumed that he underwent the same genetic and cybernetic enhancements that his cohort, Rumblebee, is known to have done.

Character Evolution

Personality

While he isn’t given very much time to fully flesh out his personality, it can be easily discerned that he is a killer without remorse. He has no qualms about killing anyone and anything, and relishes the chance to dispose of them in the most violent ways possible. He kills for his own pleasure, and probably doesn’t know what to do with himself when he isn’t murdering somebody else.

Put on full display is his lack of any intelligence. Dementipede barely has two brain cells to rub together and make a spark. This is not a problem as he is hired specifically as dumb muscle. However, this pitiful lack of smarts proves to be a weakness that leads to his downfall.

Appearance

If he was ever a human, nobody would ever know it. His dark blue face has barely any semblance of his former self, carrying almost no features that would suggest his origin. His body, on the other hand, is completely removed from his human self. At nearly nine feet long, his body is divided into ten different segments, each with a pair of long, scythe-like claws on either side. His flesh is no more, leaving him covered with silvery armor plates that protect him from most threats.

Major Story Arcs

Reservoir Frog

In his so-far only appearance in CyberFrog comics, Dementipede appeared as a member of The Swarm, a team of specialized enforcers for The Hive. And Dementipede doled out his duty as an enforcer by killing the girlfriend of Yoshi Leng. Before he could kill Leng next, he was interrupted by the arrival of CyberFrog, who proceeded to kill each one of the enhanced pests. Dementipede was among the dead.
