Brief History
Dr. Noah Burnstein was a scientist whose experimental inventions were tried on prison inmates. It was however voluntary and Burnstein used the utmost precautions so that the inmates would not get hurt. One of his inventions however resulted in prisoner Luke Cage getting steel-hard skin. When the prison facility tried to kill Luke, he escaped the prison and later became Power Man. Over the years, Burnstein became convinced that Luke Cage was innocent and falsy accused in prison. He helped out Luke whenever he could, meanwhile opening a local hospital in one of the lesser neighbourhoods in New York City.
Creation
Dr. Noah Burnstein was created by Archie Goodwin and George Tuska in 1972 and first appeared in Hero For Hire #1.
