Frostbite has been a top secret U.S. government funded project since 1951. After horror stories coming off the war front in 1944, and many from the midwest in 1948, the U.S. government decided it needed something to fight this phenomenon in case it ever threatened national security. In 1993 project Frostbite was complete.
