Creation
Granny Kimura is a supporting character in the Triage X series that was created by Shoji Sato. It began serialization as a bi-monthly series in Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age in 2009.
Her first appearance was in Triage X Volume 1 CH. 4 “CASE: 2 Surgical Strike I – License to Judge”.

Granny Kimura went to visit and thank Yuuko Sagiri, the doctor who had performed her recent surgery. She scolded police detective Isoroku Tatara for causing a scene in the waiting room, then met with Yuuko After her meeting with the doctor she came across a young man, Arashi Mikami, who reminded her of her deceased husband. As Granny Kimura was leaving, she spotted a group of thugs abducting Miss Fujino into a car. She tried standing in front of his car to stop their escape, but the driver, Yoroida, ran her over. She was fatally wounded, and she was declared dead soon after by Yuuko.
