Harly Shaplyn is an actor making a film for Mr. Wyngold at Mammoth Studio negatively depicting a European dictator. This attracts attempts to kill him by pro-Nazi Bundonians. Detective Speed and Rang-a-Tang are introduced to Harly at the film studio office. When a film canister is dropped off in the office, Rang-a-Tang removes it from the office where a bomb inside it explodes. Later, while shooting a scene with a firing squad, Rang saves Shaplyn’s life again by stopping a Bundonian agent acting as a film extra. When the extra hits Rang with the rifle, Hy Speed moves to protect the dog. The agent shoots Detective Speed.
Richy the Amazing Boy rushes after the agent and tackles him. Detective Speed, injured but still mobile, recognizes Rich Waters, the film actor. The captured agent points out that he was just a diversion to kidnap Harly Shaplyn, which proves right when they cannot find the actor.
While Hy Speed is taken to the hospital, Richy tracks the Bundonians to a remote scout camp. The leader of the Bundists is Blitz Krieg, who interrogates Harly. Richy’s Scout Troop “C”, helps the Amazing Boy and Rang-a-Tang overcome the Bundonians.
