Brief History
Hope Summers was the second wife of Nathan Summers a.k.a. Cable and the adoptive mother of the “Mutant Messiah”. She was from an alternate future called “New Liberty” where evil, intelligent humanoid cockroaches ruled the Earth. She was shot and killed on Day 784 by these cockroaches when they attacked the community where Cable, she and their adopted child lived. To honor her, Cable named the Mutant Messiah “Hope” too.
