Origin
The Iron Grenadiers were formed by Destro at some point in which he separated from COBRA to pursue his own world domination desires. Iron Grenadiers Are better equipped and better trained than their COBRA counterparts. Iron Grenadiers have a stake in Destro’s weapon sales and are believed to be much better paid than COBRA troopers as well. They act as guards for Castle Destro and Destro himself.
