Origin
Iyam is Lord Bala‘s right hand man. During the second century of man, Iyam commanded Bala’s armies and helped to conquer the human race. However, he was not able to save his master from defeat when Devi attacked Bala’s fortress and took him to be imprisoned.
Present Day
Iyam is one of Sitapur’s premier crime bosses. He owns the new night club The Abyss and was dating Tara Mehta, the woman marked to be the next Devi!
However, Iyam goes off kill Tara herself after finding out that Lord Bala has contracted he Aspara assassin, Kratha, to kill her. Iyam then attacks the Durapasya procession that has kidnapped Tara and forms an alliance with Kratha when Tara is sped off in a car. The two follow in a truck and attack the Durapasya temple as the Devi infusion ceremony is commencing. During the battle, the Lord Bala entity awakens within Tara in a blast. Iyam is captured that night and held by the Cabinet of Shadows for a month before he manages to escape.
