Joe Truscott

Origin

Very little is known about Joe Truscott’s origin. Born and raised in a small town that is run primarily by the Lawton family, he eventually became sheriff of the town.

Creation

Joe Truscott was created by John Ostrander, Kim Yale, and Luke McDonnell. He made his first appearance in Deadshot #2.

Major Story Arcs

Beginnings

Truscott is called in by George Lawton to deal with Marnie Herrs, who is poking around his life in hope of learning more about Deadshot. He takes her to a diner and fills her in on Deadshot’s family and past, particularly informing her of the death of Edward Lawton, and implying Deadshot was responsible. He continues to support and accompany her in her quest, largely because he is attracted to her. After Herrs helps Deadshot escape, he parts ways with her.

Powers and Abilities

Joe Truscott is an ordinary human and has no known superhuman powers or abilities. He is a trained police officer.
