Origin
Like most of White Ash human residents, Katlyn has lived in White Ash her entire life. She went to school with Aleck Zwerg and after graduation became manager of the Double K, White Ash’s most popular gas station.
Creation
Katlyn was created by Charlie Stickney and Conor Hughes for their Scout Comics series White Ash.

When Aleck is leaving for collage, he makes a quick stop at the Double K to say goodbye to Katlyn, who clearly has a thing for Aleck, but he never knew. She gets mad at the collage boy because he is leaving White Ash and doesn’t seem to care about her.
Later when the mine explodes, Katlyn is there helping out and is at the hospital when they take Gunther Zwerg to the emergency room. She stays with him until his death and is mad she is not allowed to go to his funeral.
When Seth Jones comes to the Double K, Katlyn is mind controlled to go with him to aid in his kidnapping. What’s worse, Seth mind controls Katlyn to cut off her own fingers to feed him. When Aleck and Lillian Alden come to her rescue, she is able to break Seth control and escape.
She is later seen with Aleck outside the Double K, and although they are friends again, that is all they seem to be.
