Lord Nemo

Origin

The leader of a galactic force that ravages planets in an parallel dimension and stripes them from their water. He was opposed by Aquaman and Mera.

Creation

Lord Nemo was created by Andy Lanning, Dan Abnett and Jim Calafiore. His first appearance was in Aquaman #47.

Major Story Arcs

Aquaman v3

When Aquaman travels through a portal to the parallel dimension of Oceanid, on a request for help from his supposed son A.J., he is confronted by an invading alien force called the Maritorn and their leader Lord Nemo.

They are galactic parasites, invading other planets, like the water planet Oceanid, and steal their water from the oceans with their vast fleet, since theirs is all gone. This led to the water elemental of this world, a version of Naiad to be in the brink of death.

Aquaman, Mera, A.J. and the warriors of Oceanid mount a counter attack and defeat the invading force, as Aquaman squares of against Lord Nemo and beating him.

Powers & Abilities

Lord Nemo and the Maritorn are massive humanoid creatures with blue skin. Lord Nemo is their leader and powerful adversary.

Superhuman Strength

He has some degree of superhuman strength, allowing him to draw blood from Aquaman with a punch.

Enhanced Durability

He has some degree of enhanced durability, allowing him to fight Aquaman one on one for a while, taking his hits.

Underwater Adaptation

Lord Nemo, like the rest of the Maritorn, can breath both underwater and on land.

Leadership

He is the military leader of an entire planetary force.

Trained Warrior

He is a very capable warrior with both melee blades and energy riffles as well as unarmed combat.
